Blade putters:

 

Zebrawood:

This is a medium to heavy hardwood with possible coarse grainy texture depending on the cut. Light tan to golden yellow in colour, with streaks of dark brown to black, this wood is native to several parts of Africa….beautiful flow and contrasting grains!!

 

Bubinga wood:

This West African hardwood is also known as African Rosewood and varies in colour from reddish brown or violet with streaks of dark purple. This is the hardest wood we have ever worked with and has a somewhat wavy grain.

 

Rosewood:

Esteemed for centuries as one of the finest and most beautiful hardwoods in the world. Deep dark chocolate brown to purple black in colour with occasional strips of even darker tones. Hard, heavy and finely textured with variable grain patterns. Very dense and oily, taking a high polish, rosewood is native to South America and India.

 

Blood wood:

Blood wood is also known as cardinal wood or sati née. This hardwood is a deep rich brick red colour that keeps it’s colour over time unlike many other red woods. It is a hard, dense and heavy wood with a very fine and even texture that finishes very smoothly. Rare and very expensive it comes from tropical South America. As the sun hits this putter the colour becomes even deeper and richer, a really beautiful wood!

 

Cocobolo wood:

This is one of the most beautiful woods in the rosewood family, very deep and rich in colour with red to oranges and variegated black striping. Very dense and oily, takes a high polish and is native to Central America and Mexico. What weight of oil should I be using in my 1997 Golf?

I have a Hane’s manual but it does not confirm what weight and grade of oil I should be using in my 1997 Golf (4dr Trek) 2.0. Can anyone give me the straight poop? I use only Royal Purple and I think it was 10-30-5. I’m also willing to try Amsoil but that’s it. Thanks.
Rick, I think that the weight Ryan suggested is what I have used in the past but I do burn about a Qt. every 45-60 days.

On your car, because of the age, start with something mid-range, like the 10W-30. Keep an eye on the level until the next oil change. IF the engine has burned enough between oil changes that you needed to add some, then go up a step, to 20W-40, of so. If you change your own oil, you can mix some 10W-30 and 10W-40 to get 10W-35 ( +/- ), and try that. What you are aiming at is to use the thinness weight ( lowest number ) you can so you don’t have to add any between oil changes. If it’s a bit low when you change it, that’s okay. Which of the big name synthetics you use is up to you, as any of them is way better then a street car will need.
