Where should I look to find these clubs?

eBay is definitely the place to go for used clubs. http://callawaygolfpreowned.com has good used Callaway clubs. However, again, it would probably be cheaper on eBay. Definitely do your homework and figure out what type of shafts you need, if there is any type of special lie or angle you need, and what club “looks good” when looking down at it on address (this is more important than you think). Don’t feel bad going to a store and getting fitted there even if you don’t buy there. Also, maybe try to demo a couple different types of clubs as well to see what works for you. It’s nice to have a complete set of the same brand, but that isn’t necessarily the right thing to do.

Here are some of my personal suggestions:
Driver – whatever looks good to YOU at address
Fairway wood – Adams
Hybrid – Bridgestone J33 (isn’t as bad as a hooking machine as most earlier hybrids)
Irons – again, whatever looks good to YOU at address. If you are a beginner, get a good cavity-backed iron
Wedges – Cleveland (make sure to get these new, the grooves being sharp are important…$40 cheaper on eBay brand new)
Putter – Definitely whatever looks good to you (a lot of people make the mistake of using ones that are too long, so try to get fitted for this too)
