Good brand of golf clubs for beginner?
I am a true beginner, and have never play golf (excluding miniature) before, but want to get into it. What equipment will I need, and what is the best brand for a beginner?

I agree with other answers, definately look to buy second-hand. Many like you try the game, don’t progress quickly enough and then sell their equipment, plus experienced golfers are always upgrading, so there is a lot of good used equipment available out there.
At your stage I suggest to invest around $150 to $200 for your clubs, a bag and a pull-cart. Try e-bay or if you are in the US try Edwin-Watts or Second-Time Around Sports, where the staff will be glad to advise you. For this kind of money you will get a good quality complete set of equipment that is still in good condition and will last you until you decide to upgrade or pack-up playing. In the long-term they will hold their resale value and you will be better served than buying a cheap new set, some of which are brittle and can break while you are learning how not to hit the rocks in the rough!
