Why Learning To Play Golf Online Could Be The Best Medicine

As an avid online gamer and member of a number of online gaming communities, a couple of my friends and I soon came to the conclusion that playing online games, just for the fun of it, did not enhance one’s life nor add anything to it.

Don’t get me wrong, my friends and I love playing video games, and we’re good at it too.

Video games are awesome for passing time or meeting people online but, after a while, there’s a sour taste left, especially after you realize you’ve been playing online for almost an entire day, and did not accomplish much in terms of personal development.

So we decided to go beyond nemesis, Dino run and Indestructo tank to find out what else was out there we could venture in.

I must admit, my main reason for playing video games, is that I have ADD, and games tend to ground me, but the monotony was getting to me.

So, after doing a further research, my friends and I all came to the realization that playing online golf is by far the most entertaining, enlightening and stress releasing activity for growing and adult minds.

Let’s face it, in the real world, golf has a cult-like following, and for obvious reasons.

In any sporting activity, someone is always trying to knock you down or hit a ball at you, and responding to these attacks engages our most ancient instincts, which is natural and feels great.

In the game of golf however, none of this happens. The ball just sits there. Want to hit it? Take as long as you want. It’ll wait.

This pushes people right over the edge and into another place mentally and, throughout history, people have enjoyed getting into an altered mental state with other people they want to feel closer to.

Corporates play golf in the real world to relieve stress and also to master concentration.

However, what if you cannot afford to play golf in the real world due to financial constraints or proximity to a golf course?

This is where the world of online golf comes into play.

Playing golf online is almost as similar to flight simulations. After all, the end result is that the user of the software gets basic understanding of how to fly a plane or how the game of golf is played.

What’s more, you get to understand distance, and how to manipulate the direction of the ball, given different wind situations.

The colors are as vivid as you’d expect on a normal golf course in Aruba or somewhere exotic where the grass is not affected by the elements.

Being an avid gamer, the kicker for me has been the 3D nature of the game, and just how realistic the setting is.

For anyone contemplating on improving their swing, or merely to learn the game before embarassing themselves on the course in front of their boss or a crash, the game of golf, online, will do the trick.
