Are maltby branded golf clubs good ?
Maltby makes different lines of clubs aimed at different levels of players. They have multiple models: CER, KE4, Distance Master, Tricept… Each model is just as good as anything from the “big boys”. The only thing that seperates component brands from the Pings and Titleists is their advertising budgets and sponsorship costs.
It doesn’t matter what brand you play- if a club isn’t properly fit to you, it won’t perform. Period. Another thing: if you have two clubheads and they have similar specs, they’ll perform the same. It isn’t the power of name brand magic, or mystery metals… it’s physics. The ONLY time there’s a difference is if a driver has an aluminum clubface… Al has to be made thicker than titanium, so it’s COR (coefficient of restitution, or “rebound effect”) is lower. For the average golfer, that means about an 8 yard difference in distance. Thankfully, you don’t have to worry about that with Maltby brand clubs.
