Choosing a golf resort for corporate entertainment

1. First of all, it’s important to make sure your clients like golf. Inviting them to a golfing day when they don’t really play, could do more harm than good. They’ll either feel obliged to come and then feel awkward not being good enough or they’ll decline your offer.

2. If you don’t already know the resort you’d like to go to, it’s time to think about location. Where are your clients coming from? If they’re time poor, they may want to go somewhere nearby. 3. Once you’ve got a shortlist of a few resorts in your chosen area, it’s time to find out what facilities they have and see how they fit into your plans. For example, you may require hotel rooms, conference facilities or even a spa. Decide what you want from the day/weekend and use that to help you choose a resort.

4. Once you have a place in mind, you’ll need to find out what their availability is on your preferred dates. You may need to be a little flexible, but it’s a better option than compromising on the resort. Remember – it’s all about making a great impression. 5. Your final consideration should getting the right price for your break. While you may need to pay more for a quality resort, keep an eye out to see if the venue has any deals or special offers that they may have. If it’s outside of the holiday season or you’re booking at short notice, you may be lucky enough to find a discounted offer.
